Gran Turismo is an upcoming 2023 American biographical sports drama film directed by Neill Blomkamp from a screenplay written by Jason Hall and Zach Baylin based on Polyphony Digital’s racing simulation video game series with the same name. The film chronicles Jann Mardenborough, an early Gran Turismo player who became a professional race car driver.
Mardenborough (Madekwe) is an introverted teenager who spends his days playing Gran Turismo. Jack Sanders (Harbour), a former race car driver who now acts as a talent scout for the Gran Turismo Academy, discovers him. When Sanders sees promise in Mardenborough, he invites him to compete in their annual competition.
